“ I Ordered for pick up and it was made quickly, and exactly as ordered. I tried the Gobi Manchurian cauliflower, Veg noodles and garlic naan. Everything came out amazing, the cauliflower is cut nice and small so it stays crispy despite being covered in sauce. The cauliflower is moderately spicy and the taste is very good. I modified my noodles to remove egg and mushrooms. The portions are great. I would order here again!! ”
“ The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the ambience is great. It’s definitely worth the 20-minute drive from Providence. We were seated immediately with no wait time. The food took about 20 minutes to prepare. We tried the medu vada, kothu porotta, Ambur chicken biryani, and Thalappakkatti biryani. All the dishes were delicious, and I highly recommend them. The only drawback was that there were a few pieces of mutton in the Thalappakkatti chicken biryani. The portion sizes were generous. ”
“ This place has truly delicious food. My boyfriend and I come here for takeout often and we’re always greeted with polite staff and excellent customer service. They’re a master of spices to make every meal delicious. The food is always fresh. I sometimes come here after yoga and feel like it’s true soul food. A healthier take out option than other places ”
“ This place is a hidden gem. The location is unimpressive, but the food MORE than makes up for it. Clearly all their efforts go straight into the food, and it shows. I ordered butter chicken and tried several appetizers ordered by others in my party. Everything was incredible, the seasoning was perfect and the food was super fresh. I'll be back, and will recommend this place to everybody. ”
“ Alex the head chef cooks with a lot of heart. You can taste the authenticity in every dish served. The whole team of Chennai Tiffins is kind and makes you feel welcomed like your own home. If you are around this area, please make it a point to visit and support this family owned local business. Best Chennai food in New England! Thank you. ”
“ I ordered a variety of dishes for my husband's birthday dinner, and everything was very good. Of special note, he loved the goat curry and goat biryani, and I am now obsessed with the chicken roast biryani. The chicken tikka and butter chicken were good, the naan (especially the garlic naan) was excellent, and my sons loved the chicken vindaloo. We will definitely be ordering here again! The place doesn't look like much, but the food and service were top notch. ”
“ Authentic Tamil and Chennai food here. Especially the Biryani’s that like we get in TamilNadu. Chicken 65, gobi65, chili parota are great. ”
“ Chennai Tiffins is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and friendly service that instantly made us feel at home. The food was nothing short of spectacular — every dish was bursting with genuine South Indian flavors. The vada was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside — a true classic done right. The Chicken Ghee Roast was the highlight of the meal — rich, aromatic, and incredibly flavorful with just the right balance of spice and ghee. To finish, the Rasmalai was divine — soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Adding to the overall experience, the restaurant offers free parking, which is always a plus, especially in busy areas. The service staff deserves a special mention for being exceptionally courteous and attentive throughout. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious South Indian food in a welcoming setting, Chennai Tiffins is a must-visit. Highly recommended! ”
